SeaLog is a program for collecting seabird data using Windows 10 and 11 computers.
Keep in mind that you must use matching versions of QA/QSea with SeaLog (SeaLog 2.2 and QA/QSea 2.2, for example).
SeaLog will also fail to acquire a GPS signal if you do not have a tile package loaded, so before you test your GPS, be sure you have downloaded or created a tile package and configured SeaLog to use it.
If you get the error: Code execution cannot proceed because
VCRUNTIME_140_1.dll was not found.
when trying to run SeaLog for the
first time, try installing vc_redist.x64.exe
from Microsoft's
site,
or download it from here.

Distance/Angle version installer, sealog_installer_2.5.1_dar.exe, 62 MB: This is a custom version that uses a slightly different database than the normal SeaLog, so do not install this unless you know this is the version you want. If you have installed SeaLog on your computer previously, you must clear the database before this version will work ("Clear Data" button in SeaLog, then restart). It is also incompatible with QA/QSea.
You can download the SeaLog manual here, but it is also included with the installation.
